ā€œI have a dull pain in my tooth?ā€

I have a dull ache on my left side, the top and the bottom. I don't know which tooth it can be. I get relief with ibuprofen 800 mg. I took it over 2 hours ago and the dull ache has returned. What can I do now to relieve the pain?

I suggest you be seen by a dentist immediately to determine which tooth Iā€™m the pain is coming from. There are tests that can be done to help isolate the source of the pain. Try switching between Tylenol and Ibuprofen for pain. Separate the medication by 4-6 hours.
I am sorry to hear that you are in pain. For short-term relief, rinsing frequently with warm salt water often helps. Unfortunately, there are no home remedies for toothaches especially if they are caused by deep decay, infection, fractures, or other pathology. You need to see a dentist find out the source of the pain. It can be as simple as a tooth that is hitting too hard in your bite and needs a minor adjustment. Generally speaking, the longer you wait to seek treatment, the more complex and costly the problem will become. Please see someone soon.
There can be many reasons for the pain. You should be evaluated for the cause. Until your appointment use over-the-counter medication. Watch for swelling. Make an appointment asap.
The best over-the-counter pain relief is 400 mg Ibuprofen with 500 mg Tylenol every 4-6 hours. The two drugs target different areas of the pain pathway so they have potentiating effects. Hopefully, that will get you through the weekend until you can be seen.
U should have it evaluated by a dentist and the X-ray needs to take to figure out what is going on thanks.
Unfortunately, the tooth-like has an abscess/infection and likely needs a root canal or to be pulled if a root canal cannot be performed. I recommend calling and making an appointment with a dentist to have it evaluated.
See an Endodontist asap.
