Neurologist Questions Neurologist

I have dizziness, numbness, pain, dropping things, and balance is off?

I've been having spine/cervical pain for a while now but lately, my feet are going numb. I get dizzy, blackout for a second or so, and losing balance. Also, lightheaded at times, pain as well. I also drop things at times I had an MRI of cervical and lumbar with hallow disc osteophyte complex at C6-C7 causing mild ventral thecal sac effacement and bi-foraminal stenosis. Minimal shallow disc osteophyte complex at C4-C5 causing mild bi-foraminal stenosis and Mild multifactorial neural foraminal stenosis at L3-L4 and L4-L5. Other minimal degenerative changes without significant disc extrusion or central canal stenosis. Minimal dextroscoliosis with no fracture, subluxation or suspicious osseous lesion. There is a prominent hemangioma within the T3 vertebral body. I am an RN and have been reading that some hemangiomas can be symptomatic. I also had Non-Hodgkins Stage 3 Lymphoma 4 years remission. I say that as the hemangioma is where my lymphoma was at the time of my cancer. Of course I am researching everything but wonder if the hemangioma is causing all of my symptoms. Thoughts for same? My appt with neurosurgeon is not till 10/19.

Hemangioma not likely causing symptoms unless large and resultant pathologic fracture...quite uncommon. Spondylosis could certainly cause your symptoms. Have you been jabbed with the covid vax? Neuropathy is common.
Hello

Your symptom complex is quite concerning. Your question implies that these symptoms have been increasing and/or becoming more frequent. Whatever the illness is that is causing your constellation of symptoms needs to be evaluated. My suggestion would be to see a neurologist for evaluation. It would be unusual for a hemangioma to cause a cascade of symptoms that are slowly progressing. Your history of a treated lymphoma is also concerning.

It might be best for you to obtain an opinion from a referral medical center. Experts at such a center will be the best physicians to see for an opinion. Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is one such place where people can obtain a second opinion and consultations with doctors of many specialties. All university hospitals may have similar services.

Thanks.
