I'm having side effects after hitting my head?

I hit my head on the left side right on the floor. It was 8 years ago. Everything changed in my life in a very bad way. What I mean is that it was very hard to focus on things, to sleep, to have a normal life.
It was hard to make simple and regular decisions without anxiety, fear, and some other issues. My regular habits were not easy to control and to follow a routine. Every single day I was changing everything. And there was kind of a mixture between past, present, and future at some point. All the tests said I was ok. However, I lost stability and orientation. It was just now that I decided to wear a tide bandage around the head and it helped in a very great way. My question is. Is it possible that I would need to wear a bandage or a headband for the rest of my life? Could it happen to someone?

Consult Neurology. Consult Psychiatry. Start psychotherapy.
It sounds to me that, after the head injury, you had symptoms from the injury itself: called post-traumatic syndrome. This doesn’t usually last as long as yours has. It’s possible that as a
result of the symptoms from the injury, you may have developed psychological symptoms in addition: trouble with thinking skills, anxiety, insomnia and others. I think you need to talk with your family doctor about whether medication would be appropriate, or possibly a referral to a psychologist to assist in controlling symptoms that seem as though they are controlling your life, and may well be treatable.

From the medical scientific standpoint, there's no data to indicate that doing what you're doing is helpful. However, science is evolutionary and perhaps you are on to something. If it's helping, by all means, continue. If you are motivated enough, perhaps you can market your discovery and generate substantial income. If successful, remember my advice and 10% consulting fee.
