Plastic Surgeon Questions Nose Injuries and Disorders

I want to correct my deviated nose. What will be the procedure?

I have a slightly crooked nose which looks a little deviated. I read that this deviation can be corrected through a plastic surgery procedure. Is that true? What will the treatment procedure involve?

Hello, yes, the procedure is called Septo-rhinoplasty. We correct the deviation from the inside of the nose (the middle portion) and from the outside, fixing the top of the nose. It is nearly pain free. For further information, you can visit my website, at Drroya.com. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. The short answer to your question is that yes plastic surgery can correct a deviation of your nose. The procedure that is performed to improve the appearance of the nose is called a Rhinoplasty Procedure. You may recognize it as a Nose Job procedure. When performed correctly a nose job can improve the outward appearance of the nose.

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure and thus is performed under general anesthesia. Depending on the degree and location of the deviation of your nose, a nose job can be done via an open approach (small scar under the base of the nose) or a closed approach (no visible external scar). The surgeon will then expose and address the deviation accordingly. The recovery for this surgery is usually 7-10 days.
absolutely

"nose jobs" were quite the rage some 20 years ago. The technique is very well established and results are usually very good

Definitely find a good plastic surgeon, perhaps, one that does just faces for best results
Hello, the procedure can be by filler or by plastic surgery.

Thanks.
IT IS ESSENTIAL TO CORRECT A NOSE BOTH FUNCTIONALLY AS WELL AS COSMETICALLY. MANY PLASTIC SURGEONS CANNOT CORRECT A DEVIATED SEPTUM ....THE USE OF SEPTAL GRAFTS, CALLED SPREADER GRAFTS, AND SOPHISTICATED SEPTAL SUTURING CAN IMPROVE BREATHING AS WELL AS IMPROVE APPEARANCE. Hi thank you for your question.
According to your description, your nose needs a rhinoplasty. You would probably need correction of the deviated septum with or without modifications of the tip. However, you should consult with a plastic surgeon since different noses require different approaches.
Yes, a rhinoplasty will correct a deviated nose. One must plan a week off work and expect some bruising and swelling. There is very little pain following this surgery.
Your deviated nose can be treated through surgery. I suggest you seek consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to help assess your nose and the repair you may require as it can vary from each unique patient to patient.
Rhinoplasty, commonly known as a "nose job" is required to change the appearance of the nose. Breathing issues can also be corrected during the procedure. Hope this helps!
It all depends if the nose is only crooked on the outside or also on the inside. Correcting a crooked nose may involve breaking of the nasal bones to reshape them, shaving of the cartilages of the nose to adapt them to a straight and natural contour and if you are also experiencing any nasal breathing difficulties, a deviated septum or other intranasal procedures may be involved. It is best to consult with your local facial plastic surgeon, generally an Ear Nose and Throat specialist who has been additionally trained in cosmetic procedures of the face.
To correct your crooked/deviated nose, you will need to undergo a surgical procedure called a septorhinoplasty.

The cause of crookedness has two major components. One is septal deviation which is the wall of bone and cartilage inside your nose, which separates the left and right nasal airways. The other is crookedness of the external portions of your nose, whose framework is also made of bone and cartilage. These deviations can be caused by growth disturbances and/or trauma such as a blow to the nose causing a fracture. Make sure you consult a surgeon skilled at repairing both the internal nasal airway and the external nose.
That would depend on the particulars of your situation, which can only be determined face to face examination. Nose job, or Rhinoplasty surgery usually involves lifting the skin off of the nasal cartilage, and reshaping the cartilage to achieve the desired result. There may be some packing in the nostrils for a few days with an external rigid cover to maintain the tissues in the proper position for a couple of weeks. There is usually some bruising, and swelling can take up to a year to completely resolve. I generally recommend at least one week off of work, depending on your job. I recommend consulting with a local board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck to you!

Yes, depending on the defect, the surgery can be done without external scarring.
The crooked nose can be corrected by surgery or possibly depending on the situation by injection of filler. I would recommend you seek a board certified plastic surgeon by the american board of plastic surgery.

Plastic surgery is the answer. Deviated septum may be the problem and can be corrected with septoplasty. You may need tip refinement.
