IBS and carrying weight?

About 6 months ago, I was rushed to the hospital because of abdominal pain, vomiting, and shivering. Later on, I found out it was IBS. I had and still have all the symptoms (mild). Here is the issue: the problem worsens only if I carry weight no matter how light it is. I can't carry a bag of groceries, my 1 year old child, even 8 pounds. (I am on diet for the condition). Please tell me what should I do?

Seems that you may need a complete evaluation to rule out other more serious conditions before concluding this is IBS. Wondering if you have any other physical or mental conditions that must be taken care of at the same time.
IBS doesn't get worse when carrying something. I question the diagnosis. I cannot think of any GI disease that is influenced by bearing weight. A thorough evaluation should be done to determine what is really going on.
I recommend that you go and see a good internist or gastroenterologist for a thorough evaluation and review of your records.
