Gastroenterologist Questions

Indentation in poop

There was an indent along my whole poop, and only one side. I just got a colonoscopy in March it was normal. I did have a anal fissure but that was it. I do experience constipation sometimes.

An anal fissure often results in an anal papilla, which is some raised benign tissue in the anal canal. There is no way you would know if you had a papilla because it can only be seen during an exam such as an anoscopy or colonoscopy. The papilla can leave an indentation on the stool.
