Is a zirconium crown a good option for front teeth?

My front teeth are damaged. Is a zirconium crown a good option for front teeth?

Dependent on various factors, a zirconia crown may be a good option. The problem with zirconia generally is the translucency and opaqueness of the material. YES, it is strong, but it is generally not "naturally" looking. A preferred option in the front of your mouth is lithium disilicate, which is far more translucent and nicer looking. If the esthetics is your main concern, strongly consider lithium disilicate. For STRENGTH, zirconia. Good luck! Dr James Doundoulakis, DMD MS, prosthodontist, Greenwich CT
Hello, It always depends on the clinical scenario. For the front teeth less invasive treatment is Veneers, but if teeth are damaged extensively and restored before then crowns are better option. Yes Zirconia crowns are better than PFM crowns for the front teeth but there are also some other materials those are really good for front teeth If you have any questions please let me know and call us on 267-262-6201 Thank you Harmony Dental
