Is brushing at night really that important?

How important is it to brush every night? What are the consequences of not brushing before bed?

1 Answer

Yes, very important as you will sleep a long time. Food stays very close to the teeth and starts building more plaque. Keep in mind to reduce salivation and tongue and cheek movement, which add to more acid that comes in contact with your teeth. Acid will dissolve your enamel. When brushing, spend more time and be sure the bristles are 45 degrees to the gums and teeth and move in small circles. No scrubbing motion.
