I am a 50 year old female. I want to know if it is normal to have anxiety after a stroke?

Yes, it is common to have anxiety after a stroke due to the degree of helplessness and lack of control that accompanies a stroke.
Having anxiety after any medical illness is very common and it could be considered normal if it doesn’t affect your day-to-day functioning and does not last longer than a few months.
