Is it normal to have pain after a crown?

I got a dental crown 2 days ago. It still hurts. Is it normal to have pain after a crown?

Defintely normal to have tooth discomfort up to a few week after crown appointment.
No! Go back to your dentist and have them check the fit and make sure the bite is correct. There are some other issues that may be the cause but it needs to be corrected immediately.
YES. Many crowns have sensitivity to hot, cold, and biting after placement. Usually this resolves slowly over time. It may take a few weeks. I have experienced this with my filling and crowns. In all cases, it resolved.
Rare here, not normal. Though if the tooth is hyperresponsive, they usually heal, especially to cold sensitivity... If the 'bite' is imperfect, tell your dentist, he can fix that. If the pain persists, you are the one who knows when and how much treatment is appropriate: patience, a root canal, or an extraction/implant!.
It is normal to have some slight sensitivity. Normal sensitivity can last up to a week and should be a quick "zing" to cold that goes away as soon as the cold is gone. If at any point you are having acute pain, pain to cold that lingers and aches, or any sensitivity to hot, please get an evaluation with your dentist. These other symptoms may indicate that the nerve within the tooth is not responding well to treatment.
