Sometimes Jaw surgery is the very best thing for an open bite. My oldest son had jaw surgery and we went out to eat a week later. Your orthodontist and oral surgeon usually talk to each other and make the best recommendation. Sometimes Jaw surgery is also the quickest way to correct open bite. Go for it!
