Rheumatologist (Pediatric) Questions Juvenile Arthritis

Is juvenile arthritis curable?

My son has been diagnosed with juvenile arthritis. Can this condition be cured?

Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis doesn't have a cure but can be treated with medications until he achieves remission (no joint pain, swelling or stiffness). I encourage you to speak with your child's pediatric rheumatologist further about this!
The condition is not curable with current medical therapies, but is treatable. In the vast majority of cases, with appropriate medical therapy, children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) can grow and develop into adulthood without any limitations.
