Late talking can be a concern, especially at age 3, as language development typically begins to accelerate by this age. However, some children are late talkers and catch up on their own. It's important to assess whether there are any other developmental delays or concerns that may require attention.
At The Beacon Clinic LLC in Baltimore, we specialize in evaluating and treating speech delays. A speech-language pathologist can assess your son’s language skills and help develop a plan to support his speech development.
Feel free to reach out for an evaluation or to discuss next steps.

I would recommend requesting a referral from your child's Pediatrician to seek an evaluation from a Speech-Language Pathologist. A child not talking by the age of 3 is of concern and should be looked at by a SLP.
