Is major depressive disorder serious?

I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder. Is major depressive disorder serious?

1 Answer

Yes, major depression is serious. But it can be treated through a variety of techniques that most clients I have had the pleasure to treat, found very effective in dealing with major depression. Just remember that any disorder that you have been treated with can be treated and sometimes rectified, but it is up to the client to have an open mindset about the treatment plan and techniques for too work. My suggestion for you is to always be your advocate and when seeking help make sure that you are comfortable with the plan of treatment and with the professional.
