Is nasal polyp surgery done under general anesthesia?

I have nasal polyps and want to remove them. Is nasal polyp surgery done under general anesthesia?

First, consult with an ENT doctor who sees a lot of patients with this condition. You will need ongoing medical therapy for nasal polyps. In some situations, medical therapy alone can alleviate the problem and obviate the need for surgery.

If surgery is undertaken, it is often done under general anesthesia due to other procedures done in the nose concomitant with removal of the nasal polyps given: duration of surgery, comfort, and bleeding risk.
