Is online psychotherapy effective?

I am a 15 year old male. I want to know if online psychotherapy is effective?

Therapy is effective whether in person or virtual because the individual is doing the work not the therapist. Therapy is about the client and their journey. You get out of the session and the experience what one puts in.
Yes online and in person should be no different if you give 100%.

Hope that helps.

Hello, Online psychotherapy can be effective. However, each individual is unique and the appropriateness for Online therapy is determined by the clinician and the client as a joint decision. Good luck.
Yes, it has been very effective to most of my clients including for teen.
Telehealth is not the preferred method of therapy but since the pandemic we were kind of forced into it and I think we’ve been doing pretty well overall. I still maintain that ideally it’s good to be face to face with your therapist in person but depending on the relationship, so long as you are with the right person you definitely can develop a solid and strong therapeutic alliance and do effective therapy work via Telehealth.
It is the ones covered under insurance mostly. But you can find counselors who are extended in other areas if those tools help.
Yes - there is increasing evidence to support the use of online psychotherapy as being of similar if not the same level of effectiveness compared to in-person therapy. The bottom line is that it will always depend on the person’s willingness to take advantage of the therapy setting. In addition, online therapy requires that the therapist be comfortable with using technology to deliver this service.

Yes, online therapy seems to be just as effective as in-person therapy, although many people prefer in-person therapy.
Online therapy can be very effective if the client is also in preference or more comfortable with media approach. Many have also been able to keep appointments and follow through more easily with online counseling in the case of weather issues, transportation difficulties, etc. However, many may still also prefer in person counseling as it feels more of a natural connection and a way to get away, if stress occurs at home.
It is if the therapist is effective and is comfortable doing online therapy.
