Everything carries risk. The most common complication after an Ablation is pain on procedure site. The worst thing that can happen (very rare) is a blood clot in the deep veins.
Talk to you varicose vein specialist about all of these.
Every surgery carries some inherent risk. But if done right by qualified vascular surgeon I would consider this a low risk surgery.
