Is there a blood shortage during the pandemic?

I am a 38 year old male. I want to know is there a blood shortage during the pandemic?

The short answer is yes, there is a blood shortage in the nation. The blood supply is slowly recovering but in general blood bank are struggling to meet demand during the summer of 2023.Thank you.
Yes. People should be encouraged to do blood donations.
I think every state and locality is different.
Yes, fewer people are donating blood.
While I have not personally heard of any shortage, it is safe to assume there has been a disruption of the donor pool due to the numerous lock-downs and fear of groups.
There seems to never be enough blood. Please give if able.
