ā€œIs there an anesthetic effect on the covid-19 booster shot?ā€

I have a covid-19 Pfizer booster shot tomorrow morning. I forgot that I have a dentist appointment right after that. I have a small filing that needs to be done. My question is it safe to get the vaccine and a local anesthetic lidocaine/novacaine within hours of each other? Also, if I get the lidocaine/novacaine, will that make the vaccine less effective?

No. There should not be any issue with the local anesthetic. However, some people do have a transient reaction to the Pfizer vaccine.
Not that Iā€™m aware of.

No problems, you should be fine with both of your appointments.
Local anesthesia and your vaccine will not affect one another at all.
Not at all.
No problem. You can have your tooth filled after you received the vaccine.
