“Jaw surgery?”
I had jaw surgery (lower jaw) around 9 years ago when I yawn it tends to get stuck. Recently when I go to the dentist I have a hard time keeping my mouth open wide. Is this normal?

No it’s not normal. It sounds like you have a TMJ ( jaw joint) problem. You must see an Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon for evaluation and treatment before it getting worse
This is not “normal,” but not uncommon. Ask your dentist to put a bite block in between your teeth when you are having any dental treatment and see if that helps.
