“Liver fibroscan ”
What do I need to do to prepare for the scan? Please avoid drinking alcohol for two weeks prior and do not eat anything for three hours before your FibroScan®. If you need to, you can take small sips of water or clear fluid, but avoid drinking large amounts of fluid. Is it true and liver stiffness increased after drinking?

Follow the instructions from the office that will perform the fibroscan. Excessive alcohol use can damage the liver by causing fibrosis (stiffness).
