Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Questions Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Mouth problems?

Hi. I have been having mouth ulcers off and on for several weeks now. Currently, I do not have any ulcers, but my tongue and the inside of my cheeks are very rough and feel very dry and "cottony". I feel like I keep needing to create saliva. It doesn't necessarily look swollen, but my tongue feels bigger than normal and I keep biting my tongue and cheeks when I talk. I have not changed any medicines or food choices. I just don't know whether to contact my dentist or go see a regular doctor. Any advice you can give me would be very welcome. Thank you.

I suggest that you see an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon for further evaluation. It seems that you may have a systemic problem.
