First place it’s Crohn’s disease. The proctologist should be a colon and rectal surgeon. They treat surgical problems related to Crohn’s disease such as anal fistulas, abscesses, intestinal structures and obstructions or failure of medical therapy.
If you have been referred to a proctologist, it means that your Crohn’s disease involves the anus and you MAY need surgical intervention.
