My mother is unable to sleep at night and ends up sleeping all morning. Is there anything that we can do for this?

Try Melatonin OTC
She must be seen by a physician to have tests to determine the etiology of said condition.
More likely, if she is over 35, she is relatively low in Progesterone and this is contributing to her problem. I recommend checking her hormone levels them oral progesterone if low. Otherwise, the most effective natural treatments for insomnia are:

-Regular exercise
-Limit light exposure near sleep time
-Meditation or Progressive Relaxation
-Magnesium glycinate in evenings
-Melatonin at dusk
