Sleep Medicine Specialist Questions Sleep Medicine Specialist

Never sleep well?

I'm 52 years old and work very hard. Night after night I toss and turn and don't sleep. I have been this way my whole life. At 52 I can't take it anymore.

You obviously need a proper sleep evaluation. Multiple issues may be involved.
First line is sleep hygiene or CBT for insomnia. There are also many medications that may help.

First, I’d recommend a sleep study to rule out sleep apnea. Once that’s done, and if that does not account for the sleeplessness, a psychologist can help understand what might be troubling or worrying you that interferes with your sleep.
Hi,

Have you ever tried consulting a medical hypnosis specialist? There are many hypnotic methods that possibly can help you in a drug-free way. If you want to try that, consult someone with credentials from the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis or the Society For Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis. It can be done on Zoom, believe it or not – and is harmless. Give it a try!
