Painful sex?

Hi, I tried losing my virginity with my partner last year. My vagina is too tight and during the first 3 tries of fingering I bled and it was painful. He tried putting his private part inside my vagina but it couldn't go inside he said I was resisting it. Then next time he did put it in and I felt it was painful so I just said no. I am concerned about why he can't just go inside without having him to push it in. It's too tight even for a finger to go in. Is something wrong?

There are several reasons that this may be occurring. You might find this helpful: https://iowawomenshealth.com/treatments/sexual-dysfunction/
...but many women have this problem and most of the time can be fixed.
There is a condition called vaginismus which means contraction of the pelvic floor muscles. The vaginal muscles are tight and not relaxed with intercourse. Typically during intercourse, the vagina dilates and lengthens which makes for intercourse to be pleasurable. You will need to see a gynecologist to be assessed. You need to be ready for intercourse which means to be aroused and engage in foreplay prior to penetration. Therapies for this condition include a referral to pelvic floor therapy and the use of vaginal dilators.
