Yes, your red pimple may pop on its own, but it’s best to leave it alone and not squeeze it.

Here’s why:

Popping can make it worse – It can push bacteria deeper, making it bigger or leaving a scar.
It will go away on its own – Your body will heal it in a few days.
If it pops by itself, clean the area and apply an antibacterial cream.
What to do instead:

Put a warm cloth on it to help with swelling.
Use a pimple cream with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide.
If it hurts a lot or won’t go away, see a skin doctor.

Hi patient , I would not recommend for you to pop a pimple on your own you should leave it alone and if it doesn't go away and more appear go have it check out. Best Regards Nekia Crutchfield , MD

Hi, If you are sure it is a pimple (acne) and nothing else, please do not pop it. Touching and irritating it could leave a scar. Most pimples that come here and there resolve by themselves. To speed up its resolution, apply 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cream twice daily over it. It will be best to consult a dermatologist to ensure it is not something else and get the best treatment that suits your needs. I hope this helps.
not a good idea to pop pimples as this may produce a small scar; if pimples are becoming more frequent best to see a dermatologist.
Good Morning, It's difficult to say having not seen the "pimple", I would recommend having it checked if it's painful.
