Regarding endoscopy?

One of my relatives had an endoscopy and it was found that she had one medium-sized polyp in the 2nd part of the duodenum. She has mild hepatomegaly with mild fatty change. But our doctor has said it's not concerning and advised diet and exercise. But my question is, is duodenal polyp generally cancerous?

No, the polyp is probably benign, but you can simply get the record of the pathology to find out exactly what type of polyp was removed.
No, they are not generally malignant cancer. But nothing cancerous growth is different. Doctors have a tough time using the word cancer being it’s not a bad kind or a good kind because the word cancer is the magic word that scares people. Hepatomegaly is something that I would be more concerned about to ensure it’s not NASH. Thank you for asking, make sure that your doctor is checking all the information necessary to make sure that it’s not what I described. That’s far more dangerous than a benign polyp.
