Ophthalmologist Questions Astigmatism

Seemingly slightly bigger pupil on right eye with astigmatism

I noticed recently that it seems like my right eye pupil is maybe a mm bigger than my left. It reacts normally to light and sometimes I don't see it as a different size but sometimes I do. Wondering if I am seeing things or its related to my astigmatism.

A difference in pupil size not caused by an underlying medical condition is known as physiologic anisocoria. This can occur in up to 20% of patients, but is normally not larger than one or 2 mm. It is not related to your astigmatism. SO
There is no relationship between astigmatism and pupillary size or response. The fact that your pupils sometimes are equal indicates that they are normal and you may even find that the difference is seen due to light sources. Your eyes are almost certainly entirely normal.
Many people have mild anisocoria (difference in pupil size) . It is unrelated to astigmatism. If the anisocoria is substantial get it checked.
