Ophthalmologist Questions Ophthalmologist

Severe eye pain and blurriness?

About 3 days ago my right eye got something in it. I believe I got it all out but ever since my eye has been severely red irritated and slightly swollen. I've been using seven symptom relief clear eyes eye drops and it hasn't been getting any better. Should I go to the hospital?

Yes go to your eye specialist
Depends on the diagnosis. A complete ophthalmologic exam should be performed.
You should go and see an optometrist initially. It will be quicker and less expensive. They can check for particles that may have penetrated the eye and lodged inside, check the eye pressure and look under the eyelid to see if something is lodged there. Even microscopic debris can lead to this.

Best of luck.

It would be my recommendation that you see an Optometrist or an Ophthalmologist. Foreign bodies can easily penetrate the surface of the eye and become trapped within the cornea. The pain/redness/swelling are likely the effects of your body's immune system fighting what it recognizes as foreign.
Please see an eye doctor immediately. An optometrist or ophthalmologist is equally good. You must rule out infection among other possibilities.

You don't need the high fees of a hospital. Just walk into the office of an ophthalmologist and with the eye looking like that, they will see you right away and take care of it.

I would see an eye doctor, either optometrist or ophthalmologist soon. Most are in private offices but some work out of hospitals.
Going to the ER may not be the best because they may not have an eye doctor see you.
YES without delay.
Yes! You could have an eye infection that is bacterial or viral or other conditions that need treatment. Please go to the ER or your eye doctor asap.
