Should I be worried if my child snores?

My daughter snores. What should I do? Should I take her to a doctor?

Snoring may or may not be a sign of sleep apnea and it is hard to know how to proceed without consulting your pediatrician. Talk to them about the problem. If they are concerned, they will refer you to a sleep specialist who treats children. Certain findings on physical, especially large tonsils and higher than ideal weight, as well as certain complaints such as inattention can help determine whether a sleep study is appropriate.
Age?? The younger they are, the greater possibility that tonsils and adenoids could be the culprit. Start with ENT if younger, if young adult, see sleep specialist to rule out OSA as well.
