Should I heat or ice my neck?

I have neck pain and want to fix it. Should I heat or ice my neck?

Heat for tight muscles and follow with stretching. Ice for pain after an injury
We suggest in most cases to do ice but you should be evaluated to determine what is causing your neck pain.
Try contrast bathing both heat and ice but put ice on first 10 minutes a piece
If your neck is hot-use ice. Otherwise either is ok. Dr Homer Wall- Cell 303-229-5374
You have to put ice if it just started hurting .. keep ice for the first week or two then you can mix with heat slowly as the inflammation goes down!
Tightness/stiffness works best with heat. Tenderness works best with ice.
Heat or ice won’t “fix” your neck. They can give you some temporary relief without having to take medication. Call my Clinic at 336-773-1177 for a free consultation so we can talk about your neck pain and how to help it. I hate to hear that your suffering and want to help you.
