You can have discomfort up to 2 weeks.
Mostly no, but it depends on the severity of the tooth extraction, location and difficulty.
It is normal to have some discomfort, after all, a tooth extraction is a surgery. You must give it time to heal. However the pain needs to be subsiding as days go by. If the pain increases you must see your dentist As a condition more commonly known as dry socket could be developing . Make sure you follow the post op indications given to you on how to care for the area where the tooth was extracted from. Taking some over the counter medications such as Advil may help. Also keep in mind that caries are contagious and if the reason fir the extractions was decay the adjacent teeth might also have a big cavity that could be causing pain. Hope you feel better
Most likely it is the extraction site that is hurting. This is common. If after a week, you are still experiencing pain, we recommend contacting your dentist.
It’s no longer a toothache, the pain is from the procedure that was done and it should get better in a day or so. If it persists, call your dentist.
It depends on various factors like the individual, the tooth extracted, and the extraction procedure. Tooth extraction sockets take about a week to start healing completely. This healing process may take up to 3 months or more. It is "normal" to still feel pain within 3days of extraction. Take pain medication prescribed to you by your dentist and follow all the post-operative instructions like warm water and salt mouth rinses, avoid smoking for some days, etc.
