Skin growth

I had what I thought was a skin tag appear about 6 months ago. It is located on the left side of my abdomen at about the bottom of my rib cage. It started out very small and the same color as my skin, then has gradually gotten bigger and darker in color. I’m a little concerned on how big it’s gotten. It’s solid and doesn’t hurt. It has started to slightly itch in the last 2 days.

You have a skin growth on your side that started small but has gotten bigger and darker over six months. It doesn’t hurt, but now it itches a little.

What It Could Be:
Skin Tag: Harmless, but can grow over time.
Mole: Normal, but changes in size or color should be checked.
Other Growth: Some skin growths are harmless, but fast changes need attention.
What to Do:
Watch It: Take pictures to see if it keeps changing.
Don’t Scratch: Scratching can make it worse.
See a Doctor: If it keeps growing, darkens, or itches more, get it checked.

It is most likely an irritated skin tag or pyogenic granuloma. I would recommend a shave biopsy to remove it and have it examined by a pathologist. This should be done by a Dermatologist.
Hello there! There are many reasons to have a red papule/bump like this including molluscum contagiosum or and irritated mole/nevus. recommend see a physician that can biopsy and diagnose this lesion!
