Ophthalmologist Questions Ophthalmologist

Stye in my eyes?

I have a big stye right in my eye socket. I've had it for a month. I hot and cold compressed it and it went away. It came back and now it's way bigger than what it was and it makes my vision blurry in that eye.

Get oral antibiotic Tx first , do warm compresses and if it doesn’t go away , you may need surgical treatment if it’s a chalazion .
A complete ophthalmologic exam should be performed to determine the cause of your symptoms.
It would be best to see an ophthalmologist who can drain it in the office.

Yes. Please see an ophthalmologist for minor surgery. SO
Assuming it is a stye (hordeolum), the correct self-treatment is hot, not cold compress. Since it hasn’t gone away then you need to see an Ophthalmologist to get a steroid injection or have it surgically drained.
