As of my knowledge, coenzyme CoQ10 supplements will not cause red urine. Please check with urine physician about red urine.

It's normal.
I could not find a scientific reference that clearly states that it would make urine red. I had many patients take it but none reported red urine. Some Google talk noted that one doctor said it could. I have not seen it, but it seems in your case maybe. If you don't take it for several days would you still get red urine? or would the red urine go away? Since you are 78 years old, it might be best to check with a urologist or at least do a urine analysis.
I would have a urinalysis checked to make sure you don’t have blood in the urine. I have not heard of Coq10 causing this and may be coincidental.
