Was it covid?

I experienced a sudden burst of viral symptoms, headache, nausea, fever. I was on high alert, suspecting a possible covid attack. After about 5 minutes those symptoms suddenly stopped, but then I experienced some pain in the lungs. It seemed only minor at the time, but it persisted for several months, finally resolved when my doctor prescribed a few rounds of prednisone steroids. Unfortunately given the length of time after that viral attack, the lab tests showed neither the virus nor the antibody. Given how that experience happened only when the COVID virus was running, I find it plausible to believe it was such an attack that my body was able to repel very quickly, unfortunately at the cost of debilitating inflammation. While it is impossible to know with any certainty, what is the plausibility of a Covid attack versus other viral suspects?

If your body attacked the Covid virus, you would have antibodies to Covid.
Good day to you!

There is only one way to find out what happened. You need to take a RT-PCR test, as well as the test for presence/absence of specific ANTIBODIES for SARS-COV2 Virus.

Good luck and stay safe,

Thanks for your question.
It is possible, but there are other possibilities. You could, for example, have had a small lung embolism, another virus, or even a cardiac cause. Your doctor may investigate these and other causes.
