Orthodontic treatment has been advancing for years, traditional braces are still available and might be required for some cases. Clear aligners are also being developed and are one of the options available . Consultation with your orthodontist is your best choice to help you get the right treatment for your teeth.
Hello! There are many types of braces or engines to move your teeth. Some of these depend on what you and your orthodontist want to do relative to treatment and final outcome. Others involve efficiency of movement and/or aesthetics. Basically the tooth movers for comprehshnixe treatment of all (and often most or some) of the teeth are: metal (stainless steel) braces on the labial (lip and cheek) side of the teeth, ceramic or clear braces on the same surfaces, lingual (tongue side of the teeth) braces, and clear aligners. Oftentimes these different tooth movers can be used together in one plan. For example, Lingual Braces on the top and Labial Braces on the bottom, or Clear Aligners on the top and Labial Braces on the bottom.
