What can I do for bleeding gums?

I have bleeding gums and want to treat them. What can I do for bleeding gums?

Most of the time bleeding gums indicates gingivitis and/or periodontal disease. Best thing to do is schedule an appointment for an evaluation.

Obviously, you need to see your dentist. Also make sure you’re getting enough Vitamin C. Bleeding gums can be caused by certain medications, natural herbs and health problems so it’s really important to see your dentist to figure it out. If you haven’t had a cleaning in a while, that’s another reason to see your dentist/hygienist and get one done.
Common cause of bleeding gums is plaque & tartar. You should visit your dentist and get it checked.

With regards, Thanks

A professional tooth cleaning is the most reliable way to get your gums healthy. If they bleed in spite of regular cleanings you should make sure you are using good oral hygiene technique by brushing twice a day, thoroughly but gently, flossing daily and possibly adding a mouthwash or irrigator. If they still bleed seek professional care. You may have a vitamin deficiency , particularly toxic bacteria or a serious medical issue.
Bleeding gums are an indicator of periodontal disease, for which it is necessary to visit a periodontist and determine the level of periodontal disease present. Then, a treatment plan is needed, including scaling and root planing.
Bleeding gums are usually caused by gingivitis (inflammation of the gums) or periodontitis (inflammation of the gums and bone loss). Treatments can vary from a deep cleaning to periodontal surgery (Laser surgery - LANAP or conventional bone recontouring surgery) to enhanced home hygiene with proper brushing and flossing. Please see your local periodontist for and evaluation. www.QuinteroPerio.com
Having a professional cleaning done at a dental office and then having regular checkups is the best way to stop that bleeding.
Bleeding gums usually need professional scaling and polishing of the teeth, if you have periodontal disease then probably need deep cleaning, highly recommended to see a dentist, as home care usually would not improve the condition.
Bleeding gums can result from several factors: lack of consistent dental cleanings, smoking, vaping, and/or underlying health conditions like diabetes. I highly recommend scheduling an exam with your dentist to determine the cause of your bleeding gums and schedule the appropriate cleaning to better your dental health.
