The most common is a weakness in one of the quad muscles the Vastus Medialis that will cause the knee cap to "drift" and create pain when running, jumping, walking stairs etc. Shawn Nelson DC Pointes Chiropractic PLLC 22930 East 9 Mile Rd. Trauma, degeneration, *arthritis", problems with gait to name a few
Hello, There are a number of things that can cause patella pain; Muscle imbalance, chondromalacia patella, subluxation of tibia/fibula, pelvic subluxation, lumbar or cervical subluxation, leg length discrepancy, ADLs, it's best to schedule an evaluation with a DC and rule in/out the cause. Thank you,
Knee cap pain has many reasons and one of the most common is tight muscles which can cause lots of pain. You can also be misaligned and that can cause pain. Or you can have a ligamentous problem. those are just a few of the reasons you can have knee cap pain. Please see a chiropractor that can look and see why you are hurting and help you relieve the pain
