Hi
It’s not recommended to eat with your aligners on. Aligners are to be worn between 20-22 hours a day allowing you to eat, brush and floss.
Hope this helps.
The nice thing about Invisalign is that you can remove your aligners when you eat, so you don't have nearly as many eating restrictions as you would with conventional braces. Still be careful of the areas that have any buttons or attachments placed, as very crunchy or chewy foods can sometimes pop these off. But other than that, you should be good to go!
It's a best practice to remove your Invisalign aligners when eating. This is so that they don't get damaged and also so that you don't get dental plaque and food bits in your aligner. If dental plaque is under your aligner and compressed against your teeth, you could develop cavities very rapidly. Even with your aligners out, you'll want to avoid hard and firm foods like popcorn kernels, hard candy, nuts, granola, and even carrots. Invisalign requires button attachments that are bonded to your teeth during treatment. These can chip and break off when you bite through harder foods.
