What causes colon polyps?

What does this mean? Nonspecific chronic inflammation of mucous membranes, dysplasia of tubular adenomas.

It is a non-cancerous growth of the mucosal gland in the mucosal membrane of the colonic lining. They can be anywhere along the lines of the colon. If not removed they have a potential to become cancerous. 95% of all add no carcinoma‘s were originally tubular adenoma‘s, but only 10% of tubular adenoma‘s become cancerous. Therefore your gastroenterologist and or your surgeon will Discuss that with you and the reason in rationale behind why it is reasonable to remove it.
