“What causes headaches every day?”
I am 15 years old and I get headaches every day. Painkillers are not working. What causes headaches every day?

Headaches are actually caused by a collection of blood in your brain, venous blood (the one that lacks oxygen) if it persists you might need to get worked up for migraines and rule out any underlying medical disorder. See your doctor.

Greetings,
Various reasons can cause headaches. Stress, foods we eat, our type of diet, poor vision, which causes our eyes to strain, high blood pressure, etc. Observe your environment and exclude everything you can to find your answer, including a doctor's visit. I hope this helps.

It would be advisable to have your child evaluated by a pediatric neurologist or neurosurgeon in order to rule out certain causes.

There are a few possibilities. The most common are tension headaches, caused by spasm of the muscles of the head and neck. Some can be resistant to OTC medication. Aggravating factors are psychological stress, dehydration, sleep loss. Other potential diagnoses include migraine headaches and cluster headaches, which often don't respond to OTC medication, either. I recommend visiting your family or primary care practitioner for evaluation and possibly a prescription depending on the diagnosis. Daily headaches are universally considered irregular and should be worked up to determine the cause.
