Patient should not have rectal pain from radiation treatment. Patient should have work up for infection or other cause
A combination of Naprosyn and bromelain (pineapple extract OTC) has helped. Of course, there are several codeine derivatives that can be used for short term. There is a prostate cancer group on-line that probably could give you specifics.
Hi,

I’m sorry that you’re going through these treatments and having pain. It would depend on the specific pain complaint that you’re having to decide what treatment is best. Is it neuropathy pain? That would be best treated with a nerve pill. I know there’s other things that can cause pain and I’m not sure what specifically your pain is from.
