What is the average age to get dentures?

I am a 62 year old male. I want to know what is the average age to get dentures?

While dentures are normally associated with older people, most people, including older people, do not need dentures. Amazing things can be done in dentistry and many teeth are able to be saved that couldn't be saved years ago. Dentures lower your quality of life. Visit your dentist and do everything you can to keep your natural teeth. And if you do lose a tooth, replace it with an implant so you don't cause excessive work on the remaining natural teeth.

Dear Reader,

In answer to your question, What is the average age to get dentures? It depends. That's like asking what's the average age to get a hip or knee replacement. A dentist will recommend a denture to replace teeth with a hopeless prognosis to treatment (complete denture) or if many teeth are missing (partial denture). Without knowing your dental situation, I would strive to save your teeth if possible. If the cost, time, or treatment doesn't fit your life situation or if the prognosis is poor or hopeless, then a denture may be warranted. Generally, older (50 and up) people lose their teeth and get dentures. Unfortunately, I have also made dentures for people in their 20's and 30's as well.

Hope this helps,

There is no average age. As soon as one adult tooth is lost, one option for replacement is a removable denture. Some people opt to get fixed bridges or implants. If you are asking what percentage of people are missing all of their teeth, then about 27% of 65-year-olds are missing all of their teeth.
There is no particular age !
I have patients who are in their nineties and have all of their own teeth. I have patients in their thirties who need dentures. There is no hard and fast rule.
