It depends on the type of problem you have with your lower back first of all it needs to be properly evaluate it by a spine specialist such as myself and properly diagnosed so that I would know what kind of treatment would best be suited to your specific ailment.
An adjustment
As a chiropractor, I may be a bit biased, since I'm going to say "chiropractic", but the best answer I can give you is this: There are a LOT of things that could be the cause of your Back Pain. The best therapy depends upon what is the specific source of your pain? Is it Disc, Nerve, Ligament, Muscle, Bone? Is it an injury ? (if so, HOW did you do it?), or is it a chronic degenerative (arthritic) type of problem? Is it cancer? If it does not resolve itself within 2 or 3 weeks max... get it checked by a professional, so you can get answers to these important questions.
According to the WHO, American Medical Association, and Medicare, the gold standard of care for low back pain, neck pain, and headaches is chiropractic care.
It really depends on the cause of low back pain. A thorough history and examination would lead us to the underlying cause and the appropriate treatment. Research shows that chiropractic treatment is usually at least as effective and much less expensive than standard medical treatment.

Please get it checked out by a health care professional, preferable a chiropractor.
Chiropractic is the best first therapy for lower back pain according to the Journal of the American Medical Association.
