Pulmonologist (Pediatric) Questions Pneumonia

What is the best way to treat pneumonia symptoms?

My son is 5 years old and was diagnosed with pneumonia. His doctor prescribed him azithromycin to help treat it. Is there anything that I should do, alongside his prescription, to help treat his pneumonia?

Complete antibiotics, if this happens on a recurrent basis, it may be asthma.
I usually suggest anything that will loosen the secretions in his chest so he can cough them out - warm showers - a vaporizer by his bedside - saline nasal wash/spray - lots of fluids
Increase fluids, do some chest physical therapy to his lungs, and make sure he is taking deep breaths. Avoid smoke or other respiratory irritants like diffusers or candles. Watch for high fever or trouble breathing.
