The best solution is to see a podiatrist evaluate the exact cause of the pain. A treatment plan can be formulated to quickly control the pain and symptoms and prevent long-term recurrence as well
It all depends on the etiology of the heel pain.

Depending on cause of the pain, treatments vary. Some heel pain are caused by inflammation at the heel area and respond to proper shoes, stretching and anti-inflammatory meds. some require injections. How ever, it is best to be diagnosed properly for cause of the pain.
