I recommend going to a dentist to make sure why you have this condition. You need to have a thorough examination to determine the reason prior to doing it yourself without understanding the diagnosis.
You should visit your dentist to valuate your mouth and give you a diagnosis. Together, you can evaluate the different reasons why your gums are inflamed. It can be hormones, it can be a medication what is causing this reaction, you may have an infection like gingivitis or periodontitis. Having the right diagnosis will point to the right treatment. You can start at home by doing some water-salt rinses.
Inflamed gums can be caused by such a variety of things and each would have their own unique way to treat. Periodontal disease, stress, hormone changes, trauma, overdue for hygiene visit, poor brushing habits, some medications, and infections are just a few of the reasons your gums could be inflamed. I would suggest the best way to get rid of inflamed gums is to visit your dentist for an accurate diagnosis as to the cause, in order to get the fastest resolution, as well as the safest and healthiest. I hope this helps!
Begin Listerine mouth rinses daily. Brush teeth and gums with a soft toothbrush and, most importantly, see a dentist ASAP.
A combination of simple therapies can help greatly. I would start with excellent oral hygiene: brushing for 2 minutes 2x/day and making sure to get the gumline. When brushing, position your toothbrush half on your tooth and half on the gums to make sure you are removing the plaque at the area of inflammation. Also, flossing. Even a feable attempt at flossing can help reduce inflammation. Lastly, I recommend a warm salt water rinse 2x/day. The saline rinse will help shrink the tissues. After a couple of days you should start to see an improvement.
In the dental world, nothing is “fast.” You need to schedule a routine check-up and cleaning first. And then a follow-up for a possible periodontist (gum specialist) consultation.
