Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy.
Multidisciplinary neurorehabilitation is recommended for better recovery outcomes following a stroke. This involves specialists ranging from Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech therapist, Recreational therapist, case manager, dietitian, Physical medicine and Rehabilitation physicians, Nursing, and so on. The necessity for any of the team members would be advised and treatment would be as appropriate. A team approach is advised for better outcomes.
Hi,

Most of the time, if the stroke is acute (happened within 3 months), then inpatient rehab or outpatient Neuro physical therapy would be appropriate.
I hope this helps.
Well, physical therapy to get back any function that was lost, if possible. Then, the cause of the stroke must be treated, atrial fibrillation treated. If there is a blockage of the carotid artery, this should be fixed, and uncontrolled high blood pressure should be controlled, see your health care provider or a neurologist.
It depends specifically on the deficits present after the stroke. Difficulty walking or with strength in general requires physical therapy. Difficulty with the upper extremities requires occupational therapy. Difficulty with speech or swallowing would require speech therapy.
Diet exercise and if the stroke was caused by a thrombosis; anticoagulant.
